In 1958, Matteo Napoli — master ice cream maker and tireless innovator — opened Antica Gelateria Matteo with a simple conviction:
True joy comes from real ingredients.
He soon became known for his talent and imagination, creating over 120 ice cream flavors: from the great classics to the most curious inventions (yes, even cod and onion 😄).

In 1962, while crafting gelato in his laboratory, Matteo looked to fruit as his muse — vibrant, playful, and already perfectly shaped.
Why serve it in anything else, when the fruit was already dressed for the occasion?
He hollowed it out, turned the pulp into 100% natural gelato with just a few simple ingredients,
then nestled it right back into its shell — from fruit to spoon, nothing wasted.
And just like that, Fruttini® was born — turning everyday fruit into something unexpectedly delightful, and serving joy ever since.
